Mackinac Island Honor Scouts

Help girls interested in giving service in the Mackinac Island Honor Scouts (MIHS). MIHS are a group of sixty-five 7-12th grade Girl Scouts who give service to the State of Michigan by acting as official guides at Fort Mackinac and other historic sites on Mackinac Island for one week in July.

MIHS conduct daily flag ceremonies at 26 flag stations, assist tourists with information and directions and participate in several service projects while on the island. They also participate in five trainings throughout the year where they learn the history of Mackinac Island , flag procedures, marching, develop leadership skills and much more.
