PROGRAM DETAILS

Inland Seas Schoolship Association

Sail aboard the Inland Seas, a 75-foot tall-masted schooner, for a half day or full day of learning history, culture and ecology of the Great Lakes. Sailing out of Sutton's Bay, trawling for fish, collecting plankton, sampling the bottom, and taking water samples for chemistry tests, you will develop a new stewardship for the Great Lakes ecosystem through hands-on experience. All day sailing includes lunch on board and a trip to Power Island with a hike led by the park ranger and a hunt for Petoskey stones.
