Program Aide Training (PAT)

Learn the basics of leadership through Program Aide Training (PAT). This training is designed to help you become proficient in an area of interest and to develop leadership skills by sharing your specialized knowledge with younger girls in a troop/group setting. PAT must be taken before Ecoventure Guide or Day Camp Aide training.

PAT Specializations
Want to enhance specific areas of knowledge and skills to complement your Program Aide Training? Check out the following PAT Specializations.

- Team Building - Learn how different activities will bring together groups and how they can work together. This is a two hour training.

- Ceremonies - Learn how to plan ceremonies including Investiture, Bridging and a Scout's Own. This is an hour and a half training.

- Outdoor Skills - Learn how to teach basic outdoor skills including jackknife safety and knot tying. This is an hour and a half training.

- Outdoor Cooking - Have you ever cooked with a Dutch oven or pie irons? Learn how to use these methods to cook healthy meals. This is a three hour training.

- Brownie Try It - Learn how to help Brownies earn Try-Its and how to plan a workshop. This is a three hour training.

- Junior Badges - how to assist a Junior troop in earning a Badge and how to plan a Junior Badge Day. This is a three hour training.

- Flags - Learn flag etiquette, how to care for our nation's flag and flag ceremonies. This is a one and a half hour training.

- Songs and Games - Learn how to teach songs and games to younger Girl Scouts. This is an hour and a half training.
